The AFCEA Bethesda chapter is pleased to be able to sponsor college scholarships for Montgomery County public high school students. Established in 2002 as a small program supporting a single high school and student, the program has grown to support multiple high schools and several students. We fund this program through chapter revenues and special fund-raising events.
Each year in April, we award scholarships to deserving, financially-challenged students from Montgomery County, Maryland public high schools who are planning careers in information technology disciplines. We invite the students, their parents and the school representatives to join us at a celebratory breakfast where we present them with their checks. |
